Huntsly started with a conversation between my brother and me. We kept coming back to a shared frustration: how little our degrees had to do with our actual job performance. We began to question the common assumption that tertiary education is the strongest predictor of success at work.
Our research confirmed what we had suspected. Academic background is actually a weak predictor of job performance. The strongest correlation we found was with cognitive ability: a factor that is both measurable and does not depend on money or access to formal education.
That insight shaped our mission. We're building a meritocratic hiring system that promotes diversity by focusing on potential rather than privilege. Our goal is to help companies discover exceptional talent early, making hiring both fairer and more effective.
